Job Description
Position Summary: Provides professional nursing care under supervision for assigned patients in assigned areas according to established standards and practices.
Position Qualifications: Required License Registration: Current WV LPN License Required Certification(s): BLS ACLS and PALS within one year of hire Preferred Experience: Clinical experience as obtained through LPN program Other Trainings Encouraged: Determined by units plan for providing patient care BTLS NRP Basic EKG monitoring Physical Demands: Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching Prolonged, extensive or considerable standing/walking Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients Lifts supplies/equipment Working Conditions: Regularly exposed to the risk of Bloodborne diseases Contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances May be exposed to/occasionally exposed to patient elements Exposed to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries and illness) Subject to varying and unpredictable situations Handles emergency or crisis situations May perform emergency care Subjected to irregular hours Pressure due to multiple calls and inquires
