The ideal candidate will manage patient admissions during the night shift, respond to Rapid Response Teams (RRT) and Code Blue calls, and ensure thorough documentation using EPIC EMR with Dragon Software. This role does not require performing procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Patient Admissions: Manage the efficient admission of patients during the night shift, ensuring high-quality and timely care.
- Medical Documentation: Utilize EPIC EMR and Dragon Software for accurate and detailed medical notes, including patient history, examination findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Rapid Response and Code Blue: Act as a key responder for RRT and Code Blue calls, providing immediate and effective medical intervention in critical care situations.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Participate in handover meetings to ensure continuity of care between shifts.
- Patient and Family Communication: Effectively communicate with patients and their families, providing updates on medical conditions, treatment plans, and overall patient care.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest medical practices, treatments, and protocols relevant to hospital medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Skills and Qualifications:- Educational Background: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Certification: Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Licensure: Valid state medical license.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using EPIC EMR and Dragon Software for medical documentation.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
