Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT) to join our dynamic team in a long-term care pharmacy setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of long-term care operations, possess excellent leadership and team-building skills, and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications to long-term care patients.
- Ensure accurate and timely medication distribution in accordance with established protocols.
- Maintain and manage inventory levels, including the ordering and stocking of medications and supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to long-term care facilities.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers, nursing staff, and other team members to ensure optimal patient care.
- Supervise and train junior pharmacy technicians and support staff.
- Adhere to all relevant pharmacy laws, regulations, and policies.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance pharmacy operations.
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT).
- Strong understanding of long-term care pharmacy operations.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and build a cohesive team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in a long-term care setting is a significant asset.
