Job Title: Optometrist (Locum) We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Optometrist for a locum position at Vogue - Gander . The successful candidate will be responsible for examining patients' eyes, diagnosing vision problems, and prescribing corrective lenses or other treatments. The compensation for this role is on a fee-for-service basis, offering competitive remuneration for your expertise and dedication. We will pay travel and accommodation expenses. Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive eye and vision tests to identify vision disorders and eye diseases. Diagnose sight problems, such as nearsightedness or farsightedness, and eye diseases, such as glaucoma. Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids. Educate patients regarding their eye health, including explaining procedures and discussing treatment options. Requirements: Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution. Current and valid license to practice optometry in Newfoundland & Labrador Excellent clinical and communication skills. Ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of vision disorders and eye diseases.
