Mandatory Vaccination

As per the current Public Health Orders (Long Term Care/Seniors Assisted Living Provincial Health Order and the Health Sector Order), as of October 26, 2021, all employees working for Providence Health Care must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination status will be required.

About Providence Health Care & Foundry

Opportunities are currently available for Nurse Practitioners at the Foundry Vancouver Granville clinic. Owned and operated by Providence Health Care, the clinic provides physical & sexual health, mental health, substance use, peer support and social services via a multi-disciplinary team to youth between the ages of 12 and 24.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat previously undiagnosed patients/clients/residents
• Monitor ongoing care and order appropriate screening diagnostic investigations
• Establish priorities for management of health, diseases, disorders, and conditions
• Collaborate and consult with physicians and the health care team
• Prescribe drugs within statutory and regulatory standards

Requirements:

• Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals
• Completion of the Basic Cardiac Life Support Course, Level C
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with patients/clients/residents and families
• Skills in critical assessment and evaluation of health research literature
