Dental Assistant

Join our team at a long-established Oakville dental clinic (QEW and Dorval). We are looking for a dental assistant for January. The position would start part-time in January, with the potential opportunity to move full-time in April.

Key Requirements:

• CDA Level I or II
• HARP Certification.
• A minimum of 3 years of dental assistant experience.
• Familiarity with AbelDent software is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in English.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently, with a keen eye for detail.
• Committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
• Positive team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities:

• Chairside assistance in various dental procedures including restorative work, endodontics, surgeries, implants, and orthodontics.
• Welcoming, seating, and preparing patients for treatment.
• Ensuring treatment rooms are clean and well-prepared.
• Adherence to IPAC Guidelines.
• Sterilization of instruments and preparation of trays.
• Proficiency in digital x-ray taking.
• Upkeep of autoclaves and sterilization areas.
• Supporting the hygienist and other staff members.
• Support the front desk, including occassional patient recalls and reminder calls.

Salary: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

10 hour shift
12 hour shift
No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:
Oakville, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:
Dental Assisting: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:
Certified Dental Assistant license (required)
