Supervisor, Laboratory - Per Diem

Responsible under the general direction of the Chief Pathologist and the Director for all functions in their respective laboratory sections. Performs and teaches all tests in the discipline. May also function as a technologist in performing necessary diagnostic procedures and is responsible for filling in for the Director in his/her absence. The Laboratory sections are defined as follows: Chemistry and Special Chemistry; Hematology and Phlebotomy; Blood Bank/Coagulation/Urinalysis; Microbiology/Serology.

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or equivalent category, i.e. Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology, etc.
• Current active registry in Medical Technology or the appropriate subspecialty, i.e. Chemistry, Microbiology, Hematology, Blood Bank, etc.
• Minimum of 3 years hospital laboratory experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity

• Regular contact with medical personnel and its visitors.
