Cancer Care Alberta, Alberta Health Services is inviting applications from Physicians interested in providing services to the Oncology Outpatient program in the North and Central Zones.
The positions require active participation within various multidisciplinary cancer program oncologist teams that are working within the systemic treatment area and are involved in patient care, research, and teaching activities at the Cancer Care Community Centres.
This opportunity involves sessional clinics at the sites in outpatient programs. The successful candidate will provide consultation, assessment, and management for Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, and Cell Therapy patients. This position will monitor patients undergoing these outpatient systemic therapies, which include chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hormone therapy, and targeted drug therapies. The physician will be involved in managing acute toxicities, dose adjustment, modifying treatment plans, support for infusions, and visit summaries. The physician will provide ongoing surveillance and monitoring of patients who have completed their treatment to monitor for cancer recurrence or treatment-related complications.

Qualifications:
Qualifications include an MD, and eligibility for CPSA licensure in the Province of Alberta. Previous training and experience in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or equivalent are required.
Preferred:
Additional training in a General Practitioner in Oncology education program would be an asset.
