The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Alberta Health Services (AHS) Calgary Zone, and the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary are actively recruiting for a Locum Generalist Obstetrician-Gynecologist with expertise in Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology for July & August 2024 (two months). Expectations of this position include consultation, medical and surgical care of people with obstetrical & gynecologic presentations, as well as acute care coverage of O&G patients.
The position will be given allocation of Obstetrics & Gynecologic call at South Health Campus. They are required to provide Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology clinic and call coverage, as the physicians being covered are all PAG subspecialists in addition to General OBGYNs. The individual will participate in and provide clinical education of medical students, residents, and fellows in the Calgary Zone. Participation in the academic goals and objectives of the Department are expected.
This locum will cover an acute, temporary workforce deficiency due to a physician's leave of absence to work on a Master’s program for physician leadership, another physician's maternity leave and the vacation plans of a remaining physician.

Candidates must have completed Royal College certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology, and a fellowship recognized by NASPAG. Final year trainees are welcome to apply, but the letter of offer is contingent on successfully passing the Royal College examination.
The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
