Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Family Practice team. The ideal candidate will have experience in phlebotomy, laboratory management, and supporting Nurse Practitioners (NPs) with tasks within their scope of practice. This role is integral to ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform phlebotomy and manage on-site lab.
- Assist NPs with patient care, including assessments, treatments, and follow-up.
- Conduct routine health screenings and manage chronic disease monitoring.
- Administer medications and vaccinations as per protocol.
- Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
- Support the clinic’s mission to deliver efficient and compassionate care.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a family practice or primary care setting.
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and laboratory procedures.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with electronic medical record systems.
