If you're a Royal College certified General Surgeon with an independent CPSO licence, we're a perfect match—because that's exactly what we're looking for!

Show off your skills by covering some call for CKHA. Coverage opportunities could be either Friday to Friday (with Mon/Tues as relief days, if desired) OR Friday to Monday blocks. Feel free to explore the city while on call—as long as you can get to the hospital within 20 minutes, you're free to roam.

Where on Earth is CKHA? Located waaay down at the southern tip of Ontario (but only 3 hours from Toronto and 1 hour to Detroit), Chatham isn't called the banana belt of Canada for nothin'. We ranked 27th best in the whole country by Maclean's Magazine—so even if you don't trust us yet, they're a solid source of info.

But Wait—Show me the Money! On top of keeping 100% of your FFS billings, all call is eligible for $487.94/day HOCC payments made directly to you.

If desired, you can beef up your income by providing surgical assist services during your time in town and keep all of those FFS billings as well. Our call can be quite busy, so you can expect to earn a good wage while visiting us!

CKHA owns accommodations directly adjacent to the hospital which include parking. If desired, and pending availability, locums would be offered space within these homes at no charge during their time in Chatham.
