What you will do: Pharmacists provide patient-centered pharmacy care as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a number of inpatient specialties across different campuses, as well as in ambulatory clinics.

At The Ottawa Hospital, our cohesive team of dedicated professionals, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy assistants, and support staff, is dedicated to delivering compassionate treatment to both inpatients and ambulatory care patients. We prioritize patient safety by promoting and implementing advanced medication practices while remaining actively engaged in teaching and research.
Training and orientation:
You will engage in a comprehensive training and orientation program where you will be immersed in a live environment, working collaboratively with our experienced pharmacy staff and other healthcare experts to achieve patients' healthcare goals while maintaining continuity of care. Our collective mission is to ensure you complete the training period with a well-rounded skill set and the confidence to excel in your role as an integral member of our healthcare team.
What You Will Bring
- Baccalaureate of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized university OR an equivalent combination of training and experience as determined by the Ontario College of Pharmacists;
- Eligible for registration as a Pharmacist in Ontario;
- Working knowledge of modern hospital care and drug therapy;
- In-depth understanding of use, composition and clinical effects of drugs;
- Ability to supervise/lead/coach/mentor;
- Experience working with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications;
- Superior written and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent teaching skills;
- Good interpersonal skills;
- Eligible to work in Canada.
