Short-Term Locum Opportunity at a FHO/FHT Practice in Dundas, ON

A FHO/FHT family practice in the quaint town of Dundas (located less than 10 minutes west of Hamilton) is seeking a locum physician to provide coverage on the following dates in August 2024 (full day or half-day options are available):

• Monday, August 26
• Tuesday, August 27
• Wednesday, August 28
• Friday, August 30

This solo practice which is part of an 18 physician FHO is co-located with 2 FHO colleagues and would be ideal for candidates seeking short-term coverage in a small-town family practice.

The successful candidate will be caring for a roster of approximately 1,500 - 1,600 patients and can expect to see less than 20 patients per day.

As part of the Hamilton Family Health Team, this practice is well supported by a variety of Allied Health Professionals including a Nurse, Clinical Pharmacist, Social Worker/Mental Health Counsellor, Dietician, and Psychiatrist. Administrative support is provided by a receptionist and an off-site office manager. The office is fully computerized and utilizes Telus PS Suite EMR for patient records.

The locum physician will have access to 2 exam rooms and an office and parking is free for staff. The practice is also located next to a pharmacy.
