Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Department of Pediatrics is seeking a board certified Pediatric Hospitalist to fill the position of medical director of hospitalists for two community hospitals that serve the Coachella Valley. The position entails being the department chair for the two community hospitals and supporting their medical staff in operations, peer review and quality improvement, for which they will be provided 0.2 FTE of administrative time. The ideal candidates will be passionate about quality improvement and education in a community setting with the ability to work with an academic hospitalist group at Loma Linda.
This opportunity is primarily located at our community hospitals that serve the Coachella Valley, a beautiful low desert community about 50 miles east of Loma Linda. This hospital system has GME programs at one of the sites and subspecialty support and includes acute care pediatric patients in addition to well newborns. Palm Springs and Indio host the 2 hospitals that this position would primarily serve. Music, art, shopping, and plentiful outdoor activities combine with affordable housing and great schools to make this an amazing opportunity. Compensation & Benefits
The compensation range listed is for starting base compensation only and is adjusted based upon years of experience and/or faculty rank: $171,000 - $195,000. More information on compensation is discussed with the departments during the recruitment process.
