Salary range: The salary range for this position is CAD $42.56 - $52.95 / hour
Detailed Overview: Reporting clinically to the Professional Practice Chief / Clinical Practice Leader and administratively to the Manager, Clinical Operations, this position assesses, plans, implements, and monitors physiotherapy treatment to patients/residents. Delegates components of treatment to Assistants/Aides. As part of the interdisciplinary team, acts as a resource on issues relating to areas of physiotherapy expertise. Participates in development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical physiotherapy practice, including philosophy, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, continuous quality improvement and risk management of the physiotherapy services.
Responsibilities:
- Provides clinical physiotherapy treatment, including assessment, problem identification, setting treatment goals, treatments, and re-evaluation of patients/residents.
- Educates patients/residents and their families in aspects of the physiotherapy treatment.
- Obtains patient/resident history from chart, interviews, and observation.
- Makes recommendations for treatment as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
- Delegates components of treatment to Assistants/Aides.
- Promotes awareness of good body mechanics to facility staff, patients/residents, and families.
- Maintains patient/resident records, clinical outcome measures, and statistical data.
- Participates in development, implementation, and evaluation of the physiotherapy service.
- Provides instruction, feedback, and supervision to students.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience
- Graduation from an approved program in Physiotherapy.
- Current full registration with the College of Physical Therapists of BC (CPTBC).
- Eligible for membership in the Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia (PABC).
