THCC in Edmonton is looking for family physician locum coverage for a variety of dates in 2024 and beyond. We are a comprehensive family medicine clinic with a focus on high quality care through a collaborative team based approach. Opportunities for permanent positions are also available

Here are specifics about the locum position to help determine if this opportunity fits into your personal and professional plans:         

-         Locum coverage for 3-5 days per week during specified dates, clinic hours 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. This is flexible based on availability.

-         Remuneration provided with a generous daily guaranteed amount (~$900) plus you keep 100% of your daily fee-for-service billings. Billings submitted by the clinic and paid directly to the physician by Alberta Healthcare.

-         Maximum of 12 patients per day. Minimum appointment time is 30 minutes to ensure unhurried visits and adequate time for high quality care with collaboration and charting/administrative tasks. 60 min lunch break. No walk-ins

-         We have our own lab collections, ECG, audiometry and spirometry located within the clinic

-         Experienced group of family physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, dieticians, kinesiologists, psychologists, lab technologists to provide collaborative care and support

-         Assistance of a clinical care coordinator (MOA) and referral coordinator

-         Fully computerized facility, we utilize Medaccess EMR. IT professionals available at all times.

-         No on-call responsibilities required.

Requirements: MD with family medicine qualification, registration with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta, registration with CMPA
