Emergency Department Locum

The Deep River and District Hospital is seeking locum coverage in the Emergency Department

Location: Deep River, ON – Along the Ottawa River, Deep River provides a welcoming community and is an ideal area for outdoor enthusiasts. Just 2 hours west of Ottawa & 2 hours east of North Bay - we are still close enough to all the big city amenities.

Schedule/Volume: Shifts available June - September 2023 - 12 hour shifts with the option to do a mix of days and nights, or back to back shifts if desired. Approximate current volume is 35-40 patients daily.

Upcoming shifts include:

* Friday, June 30, night 1800-0600 *partial stat rate!

* Sunday, July 2, day 0600-1800

* Thursday, July 6, night 1800-0600

* Saturday, July 15, day, Sunday, July 16, day & Monday, July 17 day (pick up a stretch and lets chat about activities or alternate arrangements to make your stay more enjoyable!)

& a number of openings July through to September.

Remuneration: Current hourly rate with summer locum program $219.66/hr + 10% of shadow billings and 100% of all third party billings. Travel stipend paid and accommodations available right on site or can discuss further options if picking up multiple shifts.

Additional Details: Epic EMR in place. Great team of nurses and allied healthcare professionals. Second on call physician available and covered by exceptionally supportive local physician group. Access to ED Peer to Peer Program 24/7 as well as Virtual Critical Care Program. New grads welcome!
