The Department of Oncology, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario, and its affiliated clinical, Department of Oncology, Windsor Regional Cancer Program, Windsor Regional Hospital, are seeking one Complex Malignant Hematologist for a full-time clinical academic appointment to the University of Western Ontario. Rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) and appointment status (limited term or continuing) will be determined by experience and qualifications at the time of appointment.

The Division of Medical Oncology currently consists of 12 medical oncologists/hematologists. Successful applicants should be certified or eligible for certification in Internal Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada with a subspecialty in Hematology. Candidates must have an MD or equivalent and must be eligible for licensure in the province of Ontario. The successful candidates will be excellent clinicians, communicators, and collaborators. Candidates are required to have a broad competency, and comfort, in the management of hematological malignancies. Allogeneic stem cell transplant expertise and cellular therapy expertise is preferred. Training in the management of lymphoid and myeloid malignancies, including lymphomas, myeloma, myeloproliferative neoplasms, and leukemia patients is required. Candidates are required to have comfort managing solid tumor patients for short periods while on-call with the expertise level of an internist.

Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience; and composed primarily of the alternate funding plan and academic support.
