Job Summary:
The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats patients with impairments, functional limitations, disabilities or changes in function due to injury, disease or other or conditions that impact activities of daily living, mobility and independence. Plans, organizes and directs patients in recommended activities that improve and manage their conditions and restore or increase functional independence, mobility and comfort.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education Graduate of an accredited curriculum in Occupational Therapy.
Licensure/
Certification Current North Carolina State license or eligible. BLS required.
Experience Prior experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Knowledge of contemporary and evidence-based OT practices.
• Ability to interpret clinician prescriptions and referrals.
• Ability to motivate, educate and encourage patients.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, caregivers and other health care professionals or teammates.
• Proficient with MS Office and Epic\EMR software, with the ability to learn new software rapidly.
