The Northwell Health Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine seeks a gastrointestinal pathologist for our central Anatomic Pathology Services practice, serving Nassau and Suffolk Counties in Long Island and the Queens borough of New York City. This central practice covers the tertiary Long Island Jewish Medical Center, with its robust Surgical Oncology programming for the central region of the 23-hospital Northwell Health system; and the quaternary North Shore University Hospital, with its transplantation programs including liver transplantation. The annual volume of gastrointestinal and hepatopancreatobiliary pathology cases exceeded 81,000in 2023, of which 75,000 were biopsies and 6,000 were large cases.
Eligible candidates should be subspecialty trained in Gastrointestinal Pathology; 3 years of experience as an attending pathologist is preferred. An academic background and commitment to education are desirable.

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity.
