Registered Dental Assistant

We need a big smile! Parkside Dental Clinic is looking to add a member to the team! We are a fast paced, efficient dental clinic with an emphasis on quality of patient care. The position available is for a full-time Registered Dental Assistant. We are in search of a personable, detail oriented individual with a strong work ethic who can perform tasks independently and with a team. The candidate will ideally have minimum 2 years of assisting experience. However, applicants with less than 2 years of assisting experience will be considered, including recent graduates. The candidate should be competent and efficient in assisting with routine dental procedures, fixed prosthodontics, endodontics, periodontics and dental surgeries including implants. A knowledge of DENTRIX or other dental software systems would be an asset. Our diverse team can teach and train the right candidate to rapidly become efficient in daily tasks.

Duties:

• Assist the dentist during all dental procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Take and develop dental x-rays
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
• Perform laboratory tasks such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns
• Maintain accurate patient records

Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
• Current CPR certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Dentrix or other dental software

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
