Position Summary

Reporting to the Director, Pharmacy, you will be responsible for providing a variety of services including medication distribution (order entry, dispensing, checking, and delivery), manufacturing, and sterile product preparation, including chemotherapy.

Education Requirements

• Registered by Ontario College of Pharmacists.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Experience in a computerized pharmacy environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a team focus.
• Self-directed individual with the ability to work both independently and within an interprofessional team.
• Mature, reliable individual with an excellent attendance record.
• Creative problem solver with a customer focus and patient-friendly approach.
• Good understanding of medication safety and quality assurance.
• Proven critical thinking skills.
• Ability to multitask and set priorities in a rapidly changing environment.

Effective September 7th, 2021, all applicants must provide proof of two doses for full vaccination against Covid-19 (in the form of watermark receipts from the provincial portal) or provide written proof of a medical or religious reason for not being fully vaccinated as per Organization Policy, Covid-19 Immunization, and Management.

Preferred Competencies

• Reliable individual with an excellent attendance record and able to work all shifts.
• Chemotherapy preparation experience.
• Experience in IV Preparation.
• Keyboarding skills utilizing PC applications for reports and special assignments.
• Experience in a hospital pharmacy environment.
