Speech Language Pathologist

Job Description

The Vanguard School is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist for a full-time position (5 days a week) with the possibility of part-time at the French-speaking junior high school for the 2023-2024 school year.

Tasks

• You will work in a team of 10 Speech Language Pathologists;
• You contribute to the screening and recognition of students experiencing difficulties, with a view to prevention and intervention;
• You participate with the multidisciplinary team in the development and revision of the student's intervention plan by integrating the speech therapy treatment and intervention plan;
• You collaborate with other members of the team in the consultation and coordination of interventions, and in the evaluation of the achievement of objectives;
• You work with students or a group of students with specific problems in order to facilitate their learning and social integration;
• You advise and support the teacher and explain the nature of the student's communication difficulties so that they can adapt their teaching and the educational materials used.

Profile wanted

• Have a master's degree in Speech Language Pathology;
• Be a member of the Order of Speech Therapists and Audiologists of Quebec;
• Ease of working in a multidisciplinary team;
• Proficiency in French, spoken and written;
• Good knowledge of English, spoken and written;
• IT skills in learning tools.
