Busy Orthodontic Practice Seeking Dental Assistant

A busy orthodontic practice is looking for a Dental Assistant. Level II or HARP certification is ideal but not required. Training is provided. This position is for BOTH office locations in Whitby (Durham Region) and Markham. Please see detailed description below of the office locations, dates and hours. Must have own transportation to commute between offices.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Take dental x-rays, impressions, scans, and photographs
• Pour up plaster models and construct vacuum-formed appliances
• Assist Orthodontist and Hygienists chair side as required
• Sets up trays
• Welcome, seat & dismiss patients
• Sterilize instruments

Requirements:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask while maintaining an efficient workflow
• Team player

Hours:

• Monday and Thursday: 08:30 am - 5:00 pm - Whitby office
• Tuesday and alternating Wednesdays and Fridays 08:30 am - 6:00 pm - Markham office
• Roughly 33 hours per week. This is a 4 day work week.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: $16.00-$22.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• No weekends
