Location: Midtown Toronto

As a new, private health clinic for women, we are seeking experienced female Family Physicians to join our midtown Toronto clinic. Lume is an elevated healthcare destination for women where the focus is on empowering healthy aging in a preventive, personalized and holistic manner. You will be asked to provide direct patient care within Lume’s signature programs: disease prevention, menopause, and sexual health. You will be working in exceptional working conditions including flexible hours, straightforward hourly remuneration and ample time per patient visit to ensure you are providing high-quality care.

Your key responsibilities

· Conduct thorough and personalized healthcare assessments for each patient, addressing their concerns and supporting them through the entire process including:

• A full physical exam, cancer screening, metabolic screening, comprehensive labs, review breast and pelvic imaging reports and arrange follow up when needed, cardiac assessment, DEXA scan, visual and auditory screening.
• Providing full preventative care assessments including pap screening and infectious disease screening, fulsome pelvic and breast exams and sexual health assessments including prolapse and urinary incontinence.
• Management and counselling on peri/menopause/post menopause including evidence-based HRT/MHT prescribing and non-hormonal options.
• Assessing and treating the genitourinary syndrome of menopause.
• Assessing and preventing health risks that emerge for women in midlife (e.g. increased risks of osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, dyspareunia).

· Empower and inspire patients with knowledge about their healthcare journey through effective and empathetic communication.

· Listen and provide compassionate counseling to patients helping them embrace this life stage.

· Commitment to evidence-based practice and professional growth and development.

· Exhibit a passion for women’s wellness as they age.

· Foster a safe, caring, and supportive environment where patients feel seen, heard, validated, empowered, and energized.

A bit about you

· Good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, and the Canadian College of Family Physicians.

· Registered Family Physician eligible to work in Ontario.

· Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in primary care/women’s health including skills in IUD insertion, endometrial biopsy, pessary fitting and Nexplanon insertion.

· Current Menopause Practitioner Certification with The Menopause Society (formerly The North American Menopause Society) or be willing to become certified as soon as possible.

· Current CPR Certification.

· Medical malpractice insurance with CMPA or equivalent.

· Commitment to ongoing learning and innovation.

· Able to collaborate with other allied healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and holistic patient care, demonstrating a team-oriented approach.

· Able to adapt to a dynamic and changing environment, demonstrating flexibility in approaches and willingness to adjust to ensure optimal patient care.
