Job Title: Campus Chief, Riddle Hospital - Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our esteemed institution as the Campus Chief for Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) at Riddle Hospital. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience, preferably including a leadership role and will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing the OB/GYN department at our campus, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and promoting a collaborative and innovative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Administration:
- Provide strategic leadership for the OB/GYN department, overseeing day-to-day operations and administrative functions.
- Collaborate with departmental heads and hospital administration to align department goals with the overall mission of the institution.
- Advising the Department Chairman, Campus Medical Staff President and Campus VPMA on matters related to patient care, physicians’ performance.
- Assessing and resolving, or facilitating resolution of, problems which may arise in his/her Campus Department.
- Acting on behalf of the Department Chairman in his/her absence.
- Informing the Campus VPMA and Department Chairman of all significant issues/events arising within the Campus Department.
- Assisting the Department Chairman in developing, implementing, and maintaining system-wide policies pertaining to the Department and its subspecialties.
- Devotes 16 (sixteen) hours per month for leadership and administration responsibilities.
- Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide care for obstetrics and gynecological patients including prenatal care, labor and delivery, post-partum and general gynecological care.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Establish effective communication channels with interdisciplinary teams, promoting collaboration and teamwork.
- Act as a liaison between the OB/GYN department and other healthcare stakeholders, fostering positive relationships.
- Quality Improvement:
- Implement and oversee quality improvement initiatives within the department to ensure the highest standards of care.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, working towards continuous improvement and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications:- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Proven leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient care, and continuous improvement.
