Nurse Practitioner

Windsor Heart Institute, a growing Cardiology practice is in need of a Nurse Practitioner for our Nuclear Cardiology clinic. The position will be responsible for supporting the Cardiologists within the group by assisting with patient preparation for stress testing and monitoring during the stress test. The optimal candidate is a highly motivated healthcare professional who is passionate about cardiology and the provision of exceptional patient care. Experience in CCU preferred. HOOPP benefit provided.

Essential Functions:

• Work closely in collaboration with cardiologists
• Prepare chart in advance by summarizing history, laboratory findings, investigations from EMR/Clinical Connect. To meet these requirements, there should be a strong history of using computers/IT.
• Administer chemical or treadmill stress tests and monitor patients under the direct supervision of a cardiologist
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations during testing
• Dictate test results into EMR at the conclusion of the patients encounter

Position Qualifications:

• NP registry with CNO
• Minimum 2 years experience working in a healthcare setting (Cardiology experience highly preferred but not mandatory)
• Ability to multi-task, perform duties under pressure and consistently communicate in a professional and respectful manner
• Excellent typing/computer skills.
• CPR current
• Quick, efficient and adept at navigating high volume patient load.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
