This Hospital's Cancer Centre is seeking a permanent full time board-certified Medical Oncologist to join their existing team of two Medical Oncologists/Hematologists and experienced Nurse Practitioner. 

A full range of specialty services are offered through the Departments of Anaesthesia, Diagnostic Imaging, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Oncology, Hospitalist Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pathology, Paediatrics, Psychiatry and Surgery (ENT, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Urology). 

Service Delivery

This is a well-integrated and highly regarded Cancer Centre in Ontario. It provides cancer care to a population of over 170,000 residents. Disease sites cared for include breast, lung, GI, GU, Gyne, skin, neuroendocrine tumor and hematologic malignancies as well as benign diagnoses. The medical oncology program is well established, with trained staff and collaborative allied healthcare professionals, including social workers, dietician and drug access navigator. On-site, the Chemo Suite has 16 chairs that provide infusion and advanced treatments with experienced staff. An excellent palliative care team, including two palliative care physicians who provide consultative care, further support cancer patients, along with two dedicated pharmacists. The Cancer Centre also provides a Diagnostic Assessment Program (DAP) for thoracic and GU malignancies. The hospital is a strong supporter of medical education with various medical student and resident placements rotating through the Oncology program.

Qualifications

Interested candidates will hold applicable FRCPC designation or American Board Certification. 

Independent license to practice in Ontario (College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario) and valid malpractice insurance.

US Board Certified Physician are eligible for independent license in Ontario

Compensation

Provincial Alternate Funding Plan Agreement for Oncologists, plus attractive relocation, recruitment incentives.
