Pharmacy Assistant

Dispensaries Ltd. has been serving the greater Edmonton area since 1934 with six full-service pharmacies open and a wholesale distribution centre. We are locally owned and committed to patient care, providing customized medication, bio-identical hormone therapy, natural health products, medication history review, vaccinations, medication organization, safe medication disposal, and prescription delivery. Our pharmacists and pharmacies are fully licensed and governed by the Alberta College of Pharmacists.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Pharmacy Assistant located in Edmonton, AB. The Pharmacy Assistant will be responsible for compounding medication (Creams, Capsules, Gummies, Suspension etc) in its compounding lab with no patient access. On-the-job training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in compounding will be an asset but it’s not mandatory
• Inventory management
• Knowledge of pharmacy practices and procedures
• Good team player
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus
