JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) provides direct patient care within residential Withdrawal Management and Treatment Services to the full scope of practice for an RPN. Client needs are met by providing screening, intake assessment, withdrawal symptom monitoring using evidence-based protocols, administration of medication, provision of physical care, and contribution to development of a collaborative and comprehensive clinical discharge plan.

As a nurse in Addictions and Mental Health, I have played a pivotal role in supporting and guiding individuals towards recovery and fostering resilience. This specialized area has enabled me to build one on one therapeutic relationships, work with autonomy, and witness positive transformations. This niche nursing role is the perfect intersection of compassion and clinical skills that has empowered me to make impactful differences for individuals and the community.
The RPN:
Hours of work: 36 hours per week (four 9-hour shifts). Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday rotating days (7 am 4 pm) and afternoons (3 pm to 12 am)
Training and Capacity-Building: Interested in the role but don't have experience specific to addictions? We can work with a compassionate approach and willingness to learn! We will collaborate on a training and capacity-building plan to grow skill and confidence in working with our client population. We also support ongoing professional development.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Hourly wage range: $27.19 - $29.33 and comprehensive benefits. $1 per hour shift premium for weekend work.
