We are 4 comprehensive care FHO family doctors, recruiting a 5th to join us.

Apart from comprehensive care, we each also work in long term care, palliative care, hospitalist medicine, anesthesia and policy. We're a collegial, easygoing group. We cross cover one another's patients during short absences/vacations. As a partner, you have the autonomy to determine your scope of practice and your clinic structure as you prefer. We have administrative support to organize diagnostic tests, billing and referrals. We use Telus EMR and are signed up with Ocean. Overhead is proportional to practice size -- and for applicants who are building a practice, we are more than happy to negotiate reduced rates until you're up and running.

The larger FHO we belong to is split across 6 sites, including ours. As such, after hour clinic work is shared between 20+ family doctors and is not onerous. The FHO is also affiliated with a family health team, giving us access to an amazing group of allied health professionals, including nurses, nurse practitioners, a health navigator, a pharmacist, mental health counsellors among others. The FHT runs programs for diabetes, dementia, mental health, smoking cessation, weight management and many, many more, all of which are subsidized by government funding.

Halton Hills is a small, vibrant city in the GTA, located between Milton, Guelph, Brampton and Mississauga. Our local hospital is part of the Halton Healthcare system, and local specialist support includes general surgery, obs/gyne, urology, orthopedics, pediatrics, palliative care and geriatrics. We are also one of the six pilot sites for the SCOPE program which allows family doctors rapid access to diagnostic imaging, home care and specialist support.
