This position is open to all qualified ONA staff throughout Lakeridge Health commencing 9 July 2024 and closing at 11:59 pm on 16 July 2024. Reporting to the Administrator and in collaboration with the inter-disciplinary care team, the Nurse Practitioner is responsible for specialized geriatric services in our multi-disciplinary home team at the Lakeridge Gardens 320 bed long term care home built on the Ajax-Pickering hospital site in the delivery of excellent care for residents.
Having opened to residents in early 2022, this new home is part of the government's plan to improve long-term care delivery and capacity in Ontario and in the Durham Region. This state-of-the-art long-term care home sets a new bar for seniors' care, with dining and outdoor space on every floor, a large courtyard, onsite diabetes care, and other important innovative features.
Just as Lakeridge Health is a beacon in the Durham community, the new long-term care home will be integral to managing and delivering on the needs and expectations of seniors in the Durham community and Ontario.

The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Hospital and the Ontario Nurses Association (RN Bargaining Unit Local 051). Successful External applicants must provide a satisfactory Criminal Investigation Reference for the vulnerable sector, dated within the past six (6) months.
