Job Description
The Primary Health Care (PHC) Nurse Practitioner (NP) reports directly to the Primary Health Care Manager - Central/Rural. This position will also have reporting responsibilities to other managers in the Integrated Primary Health Services portfolio and/or to managers of facilities that they provide services in. Accountability will be maintained through a close working relationship with the Sunrise Integrated PHC Leadership Team. The PHC RN(NP) works within the full scope of practice of a RN(NP) and promotes quality health care outcomes working within established standards of practice to ensure that clients receive a high standard of primary health care. As a member of an interdisciplinary, integrated primary health care services team, the RN(NP) promotes and integrates the goals and principles of PHC into daily work. This will be done in accordance with the Sunrise Health Region mission statement, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures and standards of the RN(NP) professional association. The incumbent is responsible and accountable at all times for their personal practice.

Experience
Three (3) years full-time experience as a Registered Nurse - Two (2) years full-time experience working in an advanced RN(NP) role including community needs assessment, community development, and health promotion - Two (2) years minimum experience delivering care in a primary health setting to First Nations Populations for positions located in the Kamsack area

Note: This position is open to all SUN members within the bargaining unit as per Article 27.05 of the SUN Collective Bargaining Agreement, however first preference will be given to employees of Sunrise Health Region.

FIELD HOURS The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) requires a criminal record check (CRC) from every potential SHA team member.
