Description
We are looking for a cardiologist to join the Section of Cardiology in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The successful candidate will join our service rotations and attend on consult and inpatient services at between one and four of the acute care hospitals in the City of Calgary. Details of clinical services will be negotiated but will include 8 to 12 weeks of clinical inpatient service per year. The role includes providing clinical care to both outpatients and inpatients across the city-wide Section of Cardiology. The successful applicant would be expected to establish an independent outpatient practice either in collaboration with one of the existing practice groups in Calgary or to form an independent outpatient office. The role also requires undergraduate and post-graduate teaching of medical students, clerks, and cardiology trainees in several areas of cardiovascular diseases mainly focused on general cardiology diagnosis and management.
The Department of Cardiac Sciences provides quaternary level of care across the spectrum of Cardiac Disease and is responsible for delivery of acute cardiac care in the City of Calgary and across Southern Alberta. Qualifications
We are looking for an early to mid-career cardiologist, and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification is preferred. The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta. Must read, write, and speak English. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and Permanent Residents will be given priority.
