Salary range: The salary range for this position is CAD $40.84 - $50.80 / hour

Detailed Overview:

• Reporting administratively to the Manager, Clinical Services and clinically to the Clinical Practice Leader, Occupational Therapy, works as a member of the interdisciplinary team providing occupational therapy services to older and/or geriatric adults with chronic conditions.
• Provides occupational therapy assessment, consultation, and interventions for older and/or geriatric adults to maximize physical function and to promote independence and safety.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of direct clinical care and education provided to the client and caregivers.
• Assists with research and special projects related to Occupational Therapy and Geriatrics.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an approved school of Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year recent, clinical related experience in working with older and/or geriatric clients or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC (COTBC) and eligible for membership in the BC Society of Occupational Therapists and/or Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
• Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.

Skills And Abilities:

• Demonstrated knowledge of current developments in Occupational Therapy relevant to working with older and/or geriatric adults.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
