The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking an Obstetrician-Gynecologist in a clinical practice in the diagnosis and treatment of routine Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as in the disorders related to the female reproductive system. The individual will participate in patient care and service needs of the division at the UW Health Clinics. Responsibilities of this position include inpatient and outpatient case management, gynecological surgery, and labor and delivery coverage.
We specifically seek a candidate who could lead research activities within the ASOG Division. Academic responsibilities in research may include developing an independently funded translational program focused on advancing the area of the incumbent's interests using a multifaceted approach incorporating groundbreaking foundational research and clinical excellence. Protected time would be arranged for research activities.
Additional academic responsibilities include participation in teaching programs related to medical students, residents, and fellows, including responsibilities in the simulation lab developing advanced skills and metrics for residents as well as overseeing the training of residents in the operating room, clinic, and inpatient unit.
The chosen applicant will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.
