As the Manager, Medical Imaging you will be responsible for planning and providing operational, financial, managerial and clinical support for the Imaging and Respiratory Department. This position supervises employees and participates in hiring, orientation, counseling, evaluation and scheduling. You will also be a working supervisor, when needed to help cover in the department when it is busy. Your team needs to count on you.

Since 1938, Sterling Regional MedCenter has been the center of healthcare excellence in Northeast Colorado providing care for more than 20,000 members in Logan County, and over 50,000 people in its larger market. Sterling Regional MedCenter is licensed for 25 beds with both Medical/Surgical and Intensive Care Units, as well as full Women and Infant Services. For obstetrics, Sterling utilizes a computerized intelligent OB program designed to reduce the chance of complications during labor. As a level III trauma designated hospital, Sterling has 24/7 coverage for Emergency Medicine, Anesthesia, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Imaging, Family Medicine/Peds, and Rehabilitation. Sterling boasts cutting edge technology facilitating telehealth access for sub-specialty and tertiary services and state-of-the-art equipment in Imaging, Laboratory, Operating Suites, Emergency Department, and Inpatient Units. The hospital continues to invest facility upgrades and new equipment.Attached to the hospital is the David Walsh Cancer Center, which provides both Medical and Radiation Oncology, with a beautiful infusion center and new linear accelerator. Sterling Regional is the only rural hospital in Colorado with a linear accelerator. In addition, Sterling Regional MedCenter is closely integrated with our Family Medicine and Surgical Specialty Clinics and the hospital and clinics are part of a 2-year, rural training track residency program affiliated with the University of Northern Colorado. This position plans and provides operational, financial, managerial and/or clinical support within the assigned department/area. This position supervises employees and participates in selection, orientation, counseling, evaluation and staff scheduling. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Hires, trains, conducts performance evaluations, and directs the workflow for the staff. This position is also accountable for participating in the development and implementation of department goals and objectives. Ensures all goals and objectives are met timely and effectively.
2. Provides and/or facilitates patient centered care, and/or other related activities, and promotes interdisciplinary patient care planning.
3. Serves as a resource and provides leadership assistance to achieve optimal clinical, operational, financial, and satisfaction outcomes. Acts as a consultant within the organization. Collaborates with all departments to assist with patient flow and process improvement.
4. Supports change and participates in the development, interpretation, implementation and evaluation of the goals/objectives and process improvement activities within the departments. Works with staff to make necessary changes. May analyze data and healthcare trends to gain efficiencies and improve patient outcomes.
5. Participates in the development of the department budget in conjunction with established goals and objectives. Plays a key role in ensuring budgetary goals are met on an annual basis.
6. Maintains clinical competencies and certifications as required. Responsible for QA/QI management and assures compliance with regulatory agencies and laws.
7. Accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to department practices. This includes maintaining confidentiality of all work information. Adheres to safety policies.
