Partners in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS) provides comprehensive rehabilitation focused assessment and intervention for Canadian Veterans who are experiencing barriers transitioning to life after service due to service-related injuries or illness. Using a biopsychosocial spiritual approach, the assessment and intervention services are performed by an interdisciplinary team of clinicians with expertise in the management of complex conditions such as chronic pain, persistent symptoms following head injury, MSK injuries, often with comorbid mental illness with presenting psychosocial barriers to recovery.

As part of the interdisciplinary team the Physician shall use evidence and measurement-based care to perform the following:

  • Complete a thorough single assessment (if applicable) of Veteran with rehabilitation in mind.
  • Clinical administrators will be assigned to Veterans and their Physicians on a case basis to orchestrate communications, administrative and other non-clinical tasks. Physician support will be ongoing and available when needed.

Responsibilites

  • Interdisciplinary Collaborative Assessments done with OT/PT, Psychotherapist, etc.
  • Single Assessments to inform rehabilitation treatment. No treating, prescribing or referring
  • Flexible, Part-time schedule of half to full-day per week
  • Start immediately or when fits your schedule
  • Comprehensive Admin Support manages bookings, schedule and billing
  • Competitive Compensation with a FFS hourly rate that includes indirect time

Requirements

Essential Requirements:

• Doctor of Medicine and valid license to practice in respective field in province/territory as applicable, and member in good standing with provincial regulatory body.

• Registered with CPSO and have current CMPA Insurance

• Experience in the management of complex medical conditions.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience with providing care in both a virtual and in person setting.

 

Preferred Criteria

• Experience working with a variety of health professionals and disciplines in an interdisciplinary team environment.

• Experience with military culture and Canadian Veterans is an asset.
