Summer Locum in a 2-Member Group Practice (FHO) in Lynden

A member of a 2-physician group (FHO) practice in the village of Lynden (located in Flamborough just west of Hamilton) is seeking a locum to cover her practice for 1 month over the summer of 2024.

The ideal candidate will be available to provide coverage for 3 days per week for the month of July, but the practice is also open to discussing the opportunity with candidates who have availability in August.

The practice would prefer for the locum to provide coverage on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (from 9am-5pm which includes administrative time) but is open to discussing coverage on other days if necessary.

The practice is also open to discussing a more long-term arrangement with candidates who are open to taking over the practice at some point in the future.

The successful candidate will be caring for a well-managed roster of approximately 900 patients (with ~50 additional un-rostered patients) and can expect to see between 15-20 patients per day.

As part of a large 20+ member FHO, the successful candidate will have the option to provide additional after-hours on-call coverage to the FHO if desired.

The practice is supported by a nurse, an office manager (who handles billings) and a receptionist. Patient records are managed through Telus Practice Solutions EMR.

The successful candidate will be offered a guaranteed daily rate, plus additional compensation for any after-hours on-call coverage provided to the FHO.
