BMC Pharmacy Sarnia is looking for a passionate Registered Pharmacist who wants to practice in a full scope role providing exceptional patient care alongside a fantastic pharmacy team! As a BMC pharmacist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications by providing care and counsel to the patients we serve. We specialize in withdrawal management while providing many services to local retirement homes. This includes MMT, SROM, dispensing medications, providing medical and drug information, providing minor ailment assessments and prescribing, prescription adaptations and extensions, pharmaceutical opinions, Vaccinations and injections, monitoring patients health and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

The selected pharmacist will be kind, compassionate and friendly, eager to provide exceptional care to every patient. They will ensure that each patient has access to the highest quality services including professional medication reviews, smoking cessation, pharmaceutical opinions, minor ailment assessments and prescribing, injections and vaccinations as well as patient counseling and education. They will actively engage other pharmacy team members to optimize workflow and patient care. Pharmacists will also work with other healthcare providers to ensure patients have access to the best medical care available and actively engage with patients to determine what needs may be present.
Day to Day operations:
The selected pharmacist should be familiar with the operation of a pharmacy and be able to assist with inventory management and regulatory compliance according to OCP and federal statutes. Pharmacists should also be familiar with adjudication and financial aspects of pharmacy services. Knowledge of Kroll pharmacy software is an asset but not a requirement. This position entails an elevated level of responsibility, knowledge and accuracy. A pharmacist does not merely hand out prescribed medicine; he/she has the expertise and willingness to assist people and provide them with information and solutions. Pharmacists are passionate about assisting their patients while being compassionate about the many trials that patients often face in staying well. The pharmacist must be fully qualified to interpret symptoms so that the patient can either be given immediate treatment (Minor Ailments) or can be referred to a suitable Healthcare provider for assistance. Pharmacists must also be able to provide professional advice on all aspects of staying well.
