Primary Care Physician Evening Clinic

Loyalist College Student Health Centre is seeking a physician interested in providing primary health care to Loyalist College students during our Evening Clinic.

Position Criteria:

• 3-4 Evenings per week from 4-8pm during weekdays
• Opportunity for additional daytime hours with flexibility in scheduling
• Prioritized appointments for acute and episodic care with potential walk-in service
• Population served consists largely of student population with some service to Loyalist College employees
• Incumbent must bill OHIP/other provincial insurance for domestic student patients and third-party insurers such as Guard Me for international student patients
• Health Centre staff able to assist with billing, if desired
• EMR charting with Accuro
• Start date: September 2024 or sooner

Key Qualifications:

• Licensed and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
• Experience providing a welcoming and inclusive healthcare experience for a diverse patient population
• Experience with gender-affirming care is an asset
• Experience supporting a variety of mental health needs

The Student Health Centre has a team of Registered Nurses, Medical Administrative Support Staff, Registered Psychotherapist and Registered Social Workers, and is led by a Lead Clinician and Nurse Practitioner. All furnishings, supplies, and other materials are provided by Loyalist College, along with support from the Student Health Centre team.
