Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager/Operations Manager, the Registered Pharmacy Technician (Pharmacy Practice Assistant) participates in the provision of safe, competent, patient or family-centered ethical care, ensuring the goals and needs of the patient are prioritized and individualized; prepares, packages, and dispenses medication under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Responsibilities include compounding of sterile and non-sterile dosage forms, dispensing drugs to inpatients and outpatients in unit dose, physician order entry, working with automation, Inventory control, medication reconciliation, and CIVA systems. Preparation of chemotherapy doses, distributing narcotics, and participating in quality programs and patient safety initiatives.

Long-Assignment / 50% FTE / 37.5 Hours Bi-weekly Approximately 12 months
Registered Technician: $24.96 - $27.89 Hourly (Pharmacy Practice Assistants: $23.19 - $26.27)
