Chesley is a town of approximately 1800 people and catchment area of 10,000. We are situated in the midst of cottage country where most people enjoy spending their downtime. Just 30 minutes to the beach, 45 minutes to the ski hills and 2.5 hours to Toronto, there's something for everyone to enjoy in the Bruce and Grey County area. EMR is Telus (Practice solutions) which provides opportunity for physician individualized reminders, custom forms and stamps which increase efficiency of office visits. We have an 8,000 sq foot clinic, new in 2012. Our clinic is a turn-key operation which includes 2 exam rooms per physician, all equipment and furnishings provided, Mac computers, as well as a communal office space, providing supportive physician conversations. Our experienced nursing and administrative staff will support you with billing (clinic, nursing home, inpatient and ER), referrals, scheduling, nursing, and more, so you can focus on patient care.

We have a full complement of Health Care Professionals within the Brockton and Area Family Health Team. These include an NP, Social Worker, Dietitian, Diabetes Educator, Kinesiologist, Chiropodist, Respiratory Therapist and Registered Nurse Educator. We have active programs for Chronic Disease Management, Videoconferenced nephrology consultations and Telederm. Our Family Health Team works in the same building as our Physician team allowing for combined appointments and consults that are steps away.

Chesley hospital, one of 4 hospitals in the SBGHC hospital system, has 18 beds - 8 active and a 10 bed Seniors Center of Care. The hospital and clinic are beside each other for easy access. The ER is currently open Monday to Friday from 0700-1700. If you are interested in ER, you can design your schedule to suit your lifestyle. We have built and continue to build a solid locum support team to support our family physicians who need coverage. This position also rounds on LTC patients once weekly. OBS is optional as we have 2 physicians doing OBS within our FHO, but available.

Because of our rurality index, permanent physicians in Chesley are eligible for 21 days per year of paid holidays through the Rural Family Medicine Locum Program (RFMLP), where our team arranges your locum coverage, and you get to spend time doing what you love to do.

Incentives available for a four year contract. In addition, physicians are eligible for the Northern Rural Recruitment and Retention Initiative.
