Alberta Health Services (AHS) invites applications for the position of Medical Director, Calgary Sexual Assault Response Team, Calgary Zone Medical Affairs Portfolio.
The Medical Director, Calgary Sexual Assault Response Team, will report directly to the Medical Leader, Community Health Services, Calgary Zone and will be responsible for:
- Working collaboratively with the Manager of the CSART and Domestic Violence team on strategic planning, protocols, and program development for Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence patients assessed and cared for by the CSART team.
- Recruitment and scheduling of CSART physicians. This does NOT include filling in schedule gaps personally.
- Coordination of training of physicians, ongoing monitoring, and evaluation of clinical competency of CSART medical team members.
- Act as a liaison and resource to other medical and non-medical members/partners of the Connect Family & Sexual Abuse Network.
- Provide medical representation for CSART at appropriate committees as required.
- Responsible for the initial investigation of patient complaints concerning physician behaviors or physician practice associated with CSART.
Collaborate with team members and community partners in the provision of education regarding sexual assault.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, well-developed interpersonal skills, ability to cultivate positive relationships, and passion for patient safety.
