Duties - Dispense prescription medications to patients and provide appropriate counseling on medication use - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication therapy - Review and interpret prescription orders for accuracy and appropriateness - Monitor patient drug therapies for potential drug interactions or adverse effects - Maintain accurate patient medication profiles and records - Provide education and guidance to patients on proper medication administration and adherence - Participate in the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures
Skills - Strong knowledge of medication administration and dosage calculations - Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of prescription abbreviations - Experience in acute care settings, such as hospitals or clinics - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy - Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and pharmacy staff - APA preferred but not mandatory.
