The Emory University School of Medicine Department of Urology is seeking two full-time general urologists to join the Emory Urology faculty practice in Atlanta, GA, with appointments as Assistant or Associate Professor in the Emory School of Medicine. Emory Urology has expanded in recent years to become one of the largest academic urology practice groups in the Southeast, with 29 faculty supported by 15 Nurse Practitioners and Physicians Assistants, who care for a large internal referral base from within the Emory network as well as across Georgia and neighboring states, providing over 50,000 urology patient encounters annually at four Emory Healthcare hospitals, as well as Grady Memorial Hospital, and the Atlanta Veterans Medical Center(VAMC).
The practice offers a competitive salary and benefits package. General urology faculty practice at Emory Healthcare locations including Emory University Hospital, Emory University Hospital Midtown, Emory Johns Creek Hospital, Emory St. Joseph’s Hospital with some general urology faculty also having clinical roles at Grady or the VAMC. Call responsibility at the two non-GME hospitals are shared among, 9 to 10 urologists who constitute the General Urology call pool, with supplemental compensation for the call duties on par with Fair Market Value for off-hours Urology call at community hospitals.
General Qualifications:
• Board-certified/eligible urologist who must have completed an ACGME urology residency.
• Must hold a valid, unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia.
• Must possess a controlled Substance Registration Drug Enforcement Administration Certificate.
