Northwell Health’s Department of Medicine and Medicine Service Line is seeking an Academic Division Chief, Hospital Medicine. The Division Chief will work with departmental and organizational leadership to facilitate the academic mission of research, education and clinical service at both North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center. The ideal candidate is an academic hospitalist at the rank of Associate or Full Professor, who is skilled in translating new knowledge into clinical practice and has a strong record of scholarship and leadership. North Shore University Hospital, located in Manhasset, New York, is an 812-bed teaching hospital that is academically affiliated with the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. We provide a comprehensive continuum of inpatient and outpatient services for adults and children, as well as a wide range of specialty and subspecialty residency programs, post-graduate training programs and clinical fellowships.
Long Island Jewish Medical Center is a 583-bed teaching hospital located in New Hyde Park, New York that is academically affiliated with the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. LIJ Medical Center is one of three major components of a 48-acre campus, which includes Cohen’s Children Medical Center and Zucker Hillside Hospital. Our primary focus is on the complete care of the patient, with a healing environment, compassionate hospitality, and a collaborative team approach to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.
