Northwest Permanente, P.C. is currently seeking a Board Certified or Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician to join our growing medical group. This physician will work for our Addiction Medicine Department in the Portland, OR metro region. Fellowship training is highly preferred, but we will consider applicants who have the required experience and achieved eligibility to sit for the Addiction Medicine Board Certification.
As a locums provider, you will need to be local to the Portland, OR area and interested in working a flexible schedule, with options to cover outpatient clinics, inpatient, weekday and weekend call, as needed.
Our primary need will be working weekday clinic hours from 8am-5pm. The schedule will be a mix of in-person and virtual care at Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center and the East Interstate clinic.
The Department of Addiction Medicine at Northwest Permanente is dedicated to the screening, engagement and treatment of people with substance use disorders. It is a regional model, so some driving between facilities is required as part of the position. Physicians are part of an expansive team including 3 Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners, an RN, an LPN and over 50 counselors across 11 medical offices, 2 hospitals and 1 residential treatment center. It is an Inpatient/Outpatient model with 24/7 call rotation shared across multiple providers.
We have the full support of the Kaiser Permanente health system, and our department offers patients all levels of treatment. This support includes ready access via our EMR (Epic), direct contact with our patients' Primary Care, Mental Health and Inpatient physician teams.
