Alberta Health Services, Central Zone, and the Department of Addiction & Mental Health, invites applications for the position of an Adult Community Psychiatrist to establish a part-time practice in the community of Wetaskiwin. The successful candidate will provide Psychiatric support in the form of consultations and ongoing treatments for the Wetaskiwin and surrounding area. They are expected to lead the multidisciplinary team and provide consultations to the other members of the team and the local hospital.
The successful candidate should apply for an Academic appointment with the University of Alberta Psychiatry Department and help with teaching Residents and students that come to the area.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Once chosen, the successful candidate may choose to operate their business by joining an existing independent outpatient practice or form an independent outpatient office of their own. This is the candidate's independent business decision and will not be managed through the recruitment process.
