251:SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST TEMPORARY REPLACEMENT POSITION
This temporary full-time position is presently available until the end of the 2023-2024 school year at the Riverside school board offices located at 7525 chemin de Chambly, in Saint Hubert.

We are currently a team of 10 creative Speech-Language Pathologists who work collaboratively and are committed, through our dedication to an ongoing learning process, to providing students with evidenced-based support and treatments within the framework of a public school system. We meet regularly to review literature, hold case discussions, and brainstorm challenging situations. We pride ourselves on our open-mindedness, and in discussing changes in the field of SLP that challenge our practices; most recently the shift in supporting neurodivergent students in advocating for acceptance and accommodation instead of conforming to the social norms of the neurotypical population.

Assignment:
The position of speech therapist encompasses, in particular, responsibilities for detection and evaluation activities with students experiencing or likely to experience hearing, language, speech or voice problems and for determining as speech therapy and intervention plan focusing on prevention, readaptation or rehabilitation period the speech therapist is also responsible for implementing the treatment and intervention plan.

Qualifications:
Be a member of the Ordre des Orthophonistes et Audiologistes du Québec.
Annual salary: $50,150 to $92,027 per year (35-hour work week), according to qualifications and experience.
